Merrifield hosted Berlin Primary in a thrilling U9 soccer match. Our boys fought hard, but unfortunately lost 1-2 to Berlin Primary.

Our Junior soccer boys lost 2-3 to Hudson, while our U13 boys drew 1-1 with Amitek.

Our boys played soccer against soccer as part of a derby.

DEBATING

Congratulations to Melissa Kyagulanyi, whose poem was ranked in the top 60 entries of the Social Justice writing competition. She therefore qualifies for the next round.

GO KARTING

Congratulations to Grade 1 student, Odin Thompson for securing 2nd place overall in the highly competitive Bambino class, during Border Karting’s exhilarating Round 3 on 20 May. Odin currently holds 2nd place in the Club championship. Wishing Odin the best of luck for his next race, which is scheduled for 24 June.

Congratulations to Grade 8 student, Heath Vallance, who recently took part in Border Karting’s 3rd event of the year.

He was placed first for the day and received driver of the day in the Juniors 4-stroke go-karts race. Heath is currently placed 2nd for the year, with only a 4-point difference from the leader. His next race will take place on 24 June.

LIFE SAVING

Congratulations to Grade 8 student, Taylor Emslie, who took part in the LSA 2023 INTER PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. She finished 1st in the U14 Girls Individual Board Race and first team Overall in the Nippers section.
