Our senior debating team travelled to Makhanda to participate in the Eastern Cape debating trials. A huge congratulations to Igor Karbowy and Noah Honey, who have been selected to represent the Eastern Cape senior debating team.

The 14A hockey team was invited to be a part of Clarendon’s Founders’ weekend. An outstanding result of a 1-1 draw vs the Clarendon U14A team was achieved by the mighty Merrifield U14A team. Well done!

Congratulations to our first and second College tennis teams who won their matches in the A League:

TRAIL RUNNING

Congratulations to our trail runners, Caleb Giese and Josh Crawford. Josh finished 2nd in the U12 Lilyfontein inter- school event. Caleb achieved the following results in trail running:

  • 1st: U11 boys Lilyfontein inter-school event
  • 1st: U11 Border cross country event at Walter Sisulu
  • 3rd: men’s division at the Night series held at Beacon Bay country club on Friday night.

CYCLING

Congratulations to our Merrifield cyclists, who were out in full force at the inter schools Glen Hill cycling event on Saturday. Merrifield achieved excellent results in the various age groups. Thank you to Glen Hill for a very well run event, and challenging, but fun track! Our students so enjoyed themselves.
