The Prep Interhouse Gala took place in the first week of the new school year.
The weather was warm but blustery, however this did not affect the spirit, the fun and the good swimming that was witnessed from the pool side.
The house captains made sure the spirit continued through the morning as they encouraged, clapped and sang for their swimmers.
Half way through the championship races Orion was leading by 45 points, but Aquila had other ideas. The butterfly and backstroke swimmers showed up and made for tight finishes in all races. The class races are always so popular. The children had fun racing across the pool wearing hats and socks and t shirts and wigs and crocs and beanies. This was followed by the ever popular class relays with fierce competition between each class.
Thank you to Sally Talbot for handing out our awards at the end of the gala. Special mention must be made of Cooper Goliath, who broke 4 records, congratulations to this incredible swimmer.
