Grade 9 teacher and 1st team girls hockey coach has had an exceptional year on the hockey field. She was a member of the Border IPT women’s team, who won the B section of the women’s inter provincial hockey tournament, resulting in Border now being eligible to participate in the A section next year. Antonet was also named Player of the Tournament!
Moving further afield, she has represented South Africa on various occasions throughout 2023. She participated in the African Qualifiers for Olympics. She was also part of the SA team that toured Korea and Chilli, as well as a member of the SA team that participated in the Indian, Netherlands and Germany Series.
More recently, she has been selected as part of the SA Women’s hockey team that will participate in the African Hockey Road to Paris 2024 qualifier, which takes place at TUKS University from 29 October to 5 November.
